SUMMARY:Ripley's Holiday Forest of Lights
DESCRIPTION:The John P. Parker Historical Society\, Inc. as a fund raiser and\, also\, to take part in Ripley's Christmas Celebration will create the Holiday Forest of Lights at 300 N. Front St. in Ripley.  For each donation of $100 to the John Parker Historical Society a Christmas tree with shining crystal lights will be displayed outside in the Parker Park. We encourage businesses\, organizations and individuals to donate trees to this beautiful holiday display.  Donations may be made in memory of a loved one\, in honor of a loved one or in appreciation of someone special in your life.  Maybe\, you would like to honor your family or someone in the military.  The Holiday Forest of Lights will remain lit during the month of December.  Trees will be tagged with both the honoree's name and the donor's name.  We encourage businesses & organizations to sponsor trees. Business & organization donations will be tagged -- Donated by: the name of the business or organization.  You are invited to attend a special dedication & tree lighting ceremony at the Parker House on December 1 at 6 p.m.  Donations must be received by Nov. 23 to be mentioned at the Dec. 1st  dedication.
