Western Brown Local Schools invite the public to attend the Grand Opening of our Learning Commons located at Western Brown High School on February 12, 2024. The goal of the WBHS Learning Commons is to bridge the importance of a learning space while also meeting the needs of the learners of today.
An exciting new Learning Commons can draw students in and create a fun learning atmosphere. It’s not just about books anymore. This space provides access to technology and helps students build research skills, supports exploration in content areas, and allows students to have access to topics that interest them outside of the standard curriculum.
It does this by including a “cybercafe”, maker spaces for project work, whole class presentation spaces, and a broadcast room. Our Learning commons will open the door to possibilities for their future and help students succeed the future. The Western Brown BOE, administrators, and staff hope that this space will foster a love of lifelong learning that will benefit our students, community, and future workforce for generations to come.
Ribbon cutting starting at 5pm, light refreshments provided.
