Summary:

The Grounds Crew member at our Felicity, OH location. will be responsible for assisting in taking care of all aspects of the farm’s grounds, including landscaping, maintenance, fencing, and equipment upkeep. This role involves close collaboration with the Agriculture and Education teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Mow, trim, and maintain lawns, fields, and grassy areas
• Understands all aspects of the facilities department: day to day, seasonally, and yearly.
• Prune trees, shrubs, and plants to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
• Repair and maintain farm fencing, gates, and pathways
• Clean and maintain outdoor seating and common spaces
• Assist with snow removal, salting, and ice management during winter months
• Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper watering schedules
• Conduct routine checks and minor repairs on maintenance equipment
• Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as trucks, utility vehicles, mowers and trimmers
• Advanced use of tractors and skid steer with ability to use various implements.
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment (lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, etc.)
• Assist with minor construction or outside repair tasks
• Ensure all outdoor areas are kept safe and in compliance with health and safety standards
• Regularly coordinate with Supervisor as well as Agriculture and Education to ensure all needs are being met
• Other duties as assigned

• At least 5 years’ experience performing landscaping and general maintenance preferably in a farming environment
• Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance
• Must have a “how can I help” attitude
• Able to troubleshoot issues as they arise during the completion of duties
• Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background
• Highly motivated and self-driven individual with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to multi-task
• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 75 pounds.
• Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may
• Requires ability to work in extreme temperatures and move safely over uneven terrain
• Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
• Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
• Some travel to other Greenacres Farms will be required.
• Commitment to a collaborative team culture.
• Must pass a drug screen, BCI/FBI background check, and physical as required.
