The Brown County Health Department carries out the mandated services required by the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) and the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).
Environmental Health
Staff members of the environmental department enforce rules and regulations set forth by the state of Ohio, in order to protect the public's health and prevent the spread of disease caused by environmental hazards
Nursing
The Public Health Nursing Division provides free or minimal cost services in order to promote healthy lifestyles. They also work to prevent the spread of disease through communicable disease surveillance and reporting.
